A Fond Farewell
It is with sadness that I must announce that gardenART on King St
has closed its doors in Fall of 2012.
My journey to discover Onancock, inventing and running a business and now knowing that
I must close, has been both a joy and a challenge.
The best take-away has been meeting so many wonderful folks
and the friendships that I will always cherish.
Bringing plants and unique wares to the shore and into your homes has been a delight.
It has been an amazing eight years, and this decision to end gardenART is the hardest one,
the economic times have proven too much an obstacle to overcome.
There will be one more Sale Weekend in December to
help me clean out and move forward ~ we won’t say ‘good bye, just ‘ciao’ for now.
Friend me on Facebook to hear of the details.

Established in March, 2005 ~ gardenART has gained the status of a 'must-see'
when visiting the charming harbor town of Onancock, VA.
by the residents of the Eastern Shore and beyond!
An oasis in the middle of town, our garden space is a botanic delight beneath large shade trees.
Inside the shop, housed in a 100+ year old revived power plant,
you will find a feast of the senses.
Colorful candles, and home decor, fragrant floral notes from fresh flowers to local made soaps
to fresh baked breads & temptations. Locally grown and produced goods in their season.
A fine selection of specialty plants for the garden, grown 'on the shore'.
Necessary groceries for visitors, townies and boaters.
And so much more...
A visit to gardenART is an experience ~
Be sure to include us on your next visit to the Eastern Shore.
Second Friday Art Stroll

Meet 'Lulu', a Portuguese Water Dog, born October 2007 and started her first day at work at 9 weeksof age. She knows her job is to meet and greet customers and visitors and to look cute doing it ~ she really does it very well. She is the perfect 'shop dog.' Lulu has a big brother, Mocha, who is a13 year old Porty who also works - he protects the house while we are hard at work at the shop. Both are avid swimmers, beach bums and love to play in the garden.
At right, Princess Lulu reclines in the gardenART garden in
her favorite recycled adirondack chair.
